KDM effectively invented a new genre. But then, when it ad a chance to show it could improve on that formula, it....didn't. For 6 years, it did nothing. Allegedly, 6 years and change late, the 2017 backers will recieve the first new content (which was slated to be released in 2018).

It's my bias but for a game that sold us fighting nightmares I could do with a TAD more horror in the story and figures so far, having just hit the half way point.

Yeah that's what drew me I love Monster Hunter and the idea of that transposed in to a horror fantasy Berserk style boardgame was catnip. But the price....

In 2018, Shadowborne commited to making a game. In November 2018, Adam Poots (Dumbest man in the room he is in) delayed his fun little extras called Gambler's Chest. NOW, in 2022, Oathsworn is at people's doors. MAYHAPS, by December 2022, Adam Poots will finally PUSH THE WHOPPER BUTTON! and print the Gambler's Chest.

Jaime and Co went from "Lets make a game" to "Game delivered" in the time Adam has DELAYED the Gambler's Chest only. So yes, I think Oathsworn is more functional. And, I actually think the minis look better. KDM Minis were eningeered like a decade ago now.
