how is supabase false advertising?

Look the hosted version looks really polished and I have no complaints

PgAdmin exists if you need a dashboard for your tables. The other parts are covered mostly by enviromental variables on the Docker containers. Dashboard open source is a WIP as they've said, and it's technical limitations that prevented the hosted one being made open source.

But when it comes to the open source version , it doesnt match what you already offer

as a developer using individual supabase components to move my projects forward I appreciate the immense work that has gone into what has been release and look forward to whatever comes next

This was never a debate. I had no chance in this den of supabase supporters LOL. Even if I were to fight for "The Earth is not Flat" . I'd loose here 😆

its definitely good that people have different perspectives on this

weren't you just saying that supabase was false advertising, others tried explaining how that in itself is wrong, but you didn't want to take the answers so you just agreed to whatever was said without actually looking at why they were saying that, supabase is quite amazing, you get what firebase does, for free, self-hosted, much more support and if you're not self-hosting, you get a TON of free resources on the free plan and if you need to scale up, its at amazing prices (i don't think i'll need to scale any time soon ) either way, just try to enjoy supabase as it is, you're getting a lot already :) (Supabase Functions Soon tm)

speaking of supabase self hosted, are there any restrictions on the self hosted versions?

It's definitely a good debate, this just isn't the best forum for it

i plan on starting my server back up (after seeing if thats whats spiking the electirc bill, not entirely sure, its an old server so i don't see a reason why it'd be pulling that much power), and i might self-host supabase

the larger table size would definitly be good

There shouldn't be any plan limits on your self-hosted version of Supabase, except for physical limitations like your allocated RAM, processing power, self-provided storage, etc...
