Hi, brand new potential Dendron user here. Is it standard behavior that when you create and save a new note, it doesn't automatically appear in the Tree View? Only after I run Reload Index or restart VSCode the note shows up in the Tree View.

you mean v1 or v2?

I read your question but I don't actually get it (sry), your problems with templates is that you have to type the hierarchy in the lookup everytime?

Installed plugin 0.59.1, don't know which version comes with it

yeah I think you need to reload index to let it show up (it's v1 by default, but the same applies at v2 as well)

kinda, currently dendron needs it to pickup schema changes, I'll create an issue abt it if I can't find it in github

Ah, spotted that one but thought it was only about metadata, not notes. A new note results in new metadata though, so it makes sense 😁

this is a bug 😓 we're working on fixing it as part of next week's sprint

Ok, no worries. I can live with that. My main concern was if I was missing some new type of configuration that was changing the behaviour. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry for not having explained myself clear enough. Yes, exactly, I need to type the full hierarchy. It seems it is a bug, by looking into what kevins8 just said. I will wait for a fix. Thanks for all the clarifications.

I'm using v1 apparently, should I first try v2?

I have the same issue here. The newly created note won’t show up in tree view. So when i use command

Dendron: Site Build

, the note will not be represented in the nav bar. Must use Reload Index to straighten things out

definitely give v2 a try and let me know if you still see it. we're planning on supporting v1 for a while due to missing accessibility features in v2 so we'll address the issues in v1

Sure, it's quite late over here so I'll create one tmr. Also the v2 preview is looking great, but I miss the navigate with header thingy from v1 (I'll open another issue Abt the details) and the preview doesn't sync when I scroll the text, is it intended or another unimplemented feature?

Hi again, one use case in my daily job workflow is writing my notes and documents throughout the day on dendron and later migrate them to the company Atlassian Confluence. This migration is usually a big pain, because I need to convert manually the markdown to confluence wiki sintax. Sometimes I use a confluence macro to add markdown text directly, but that also limits other confluence functionalities (e.g. indexing parts of that text is not possible). So I was wondering if anyone here has the same need and what kind of workflows is using. 🙂

I'm in the same boat in that my company uses Confluence for shared notes, but I use Dendron for my personal notes. Haven't tried migrating pages but would be a nice capability to add to my workflow! May play around with it this week

Hey, my github actions workflow has been failing with the error: "Error: no root found from /home/runner/work/inquiry" for my vault at https://github.com/maxkrieger/inquiry . I made the vault 6 months or so and dendron's been auto updatng itself and i just updated the package.json to follow the latest guidelines (ie removing dendron-11ty)
