Slowly moving all my notes from Joplin to Dendron (loving working from vscode) - anyone know of anyway to make mermaid links open Dendron notes (so you can click on mermaid diagram elements to navigate your knowledge)? For Joplin it was as simple as adding: click B "joplin://4fafacf4aeef4f25a73e4900c3c0d3b6" "."

Question: Is there a way to change the default time format in frontmatter from unix time to other formats? Dendron does show a preview of the human readable format on its right, but would like to know if this is possible in Dendron settings. Thanks!

I saw a few days back there was some discussion about the paste image feature not working, I just reported a bug for that when using Wayland displays on Linux, it may not be the same as what was being worked on before but it exhibits in the same manner I think. (Bug report: https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/1095)

Hey, thanks for report the issue. I'm not familiar with Wayland displays myself, but currently our paste image functionality indeed doesn't recognize it.

Just found the code that handles it, if I get some time to figure out extension dev maybe I can see about getting a fix together.

That would be great! iirc this is checked with a separate script from the actual extension code here: https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron-paste-image/blob/main/res/linux.sh so a proper check for Wayland displays there would get it done I think 🙂

So, I'm brand new to Dendron - I'm eval'ing it for use with a small, highly technical team. I'm having a bit of trouble understanding some of the core design concepts for that use case, from the Git wiki page (https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/vsAxYld4zsbD2XjKoh7OP.html) it shows how to setup a git repo for your workspace; but isn't each vault within a workspace capable of having it's own repo? I want to make sure each team member can have a workspace (correct me if this understanding is wrong) with their own personal vault(s) that are never really shared, and one or more team shared vaults which we sync via git. Should each shared vault just be its own repo, and/or should a shared workspace be tracked in git?

I'd recommend to have the shared vault in a common repo only not the complete workspace. Any additional personal vaults are referenced in the workspace file so that could create issues. You may want to have

dendron.yml

in version control too if the settings should be the same for everyone but I doubt that this is necessary.

Hi! I noticed that in 0.53, Note Graph v2 makes labels invisible when zooming out. Could anyone confirm this?

Yes, this is introduced in 0.53. I believe the threshold for this behavior has been reported to be a bit aggressive and will be made adjustable and more relaxed on the upcoming release. pinging @User for any additional info on the schedule.

Has anyone ever explored the idea of a dendron like wikipedia? I loved the programming example from Kevin’s dendron onboarding and thought it would be great to have a Wikipedia style dendron that anyone can contribute to

There's actually an option to add an "Edit on Github" link to published sites. It makes it pretty easy for people to contribute, we use it with Dendron Wiki.
