It's okay if you have a few, small images. If you have a lot of images, it makes sense to upload them somewhere else and put links to those images instead. Dendron wiki actually has most images and gifs/videos on other sites (like imgur or Loom) which then gets linked. You could also look into Git Large File Storage if you want the images versioned too.

Will changing from Github Pages to Managed Publishing in Dendron can solve this storage concern without relying on 3rd party images/files hosting site?

It's not a setting currently from what I know.

Theres a setting that will stop it from rendering iirc.

But it will be still parsed and probably previewed as

:smiley_face:

that's the current working solution. you can store a lot of images before you reach 1gb. we're also working on a cloud based asset asset solution for later this year if you go beyond that

Yeah, it should update whenever you save a file. For me, it looks like it stopped updating sometime on July 9th. I can't remember when I updated to the newest version of Dendron, but I'm guessing that might be it.

That might also be the day I updated VSCode itself, to 1.58.0. Maybe that's involved, too? I can make a GitHub issue for this, if other people are also seeing it.

If I have several vaults on GitHub but not the whole workspace and I want to clone them on a different machine and also have the extensions enabled and synchronized on the per-workspace basis, what do I do? Will this work? I thought I would initialize a new workspace and add remote vaults but can vscode know to enable/disable relevant extensions? It does not look so.... Any tips on how to simplify the setup between multiple machines/team users?

Hi @User - I was able to repro the duplicate suggestion issue. It seems to be caused by the deletion of the front matter at the top of the note - make sure to not delete this section, as the Dendron engine needs it. It's probably best at this point to create new notes to re-gen the frontmatter and copy over the contents. Is there a way to open a note/graph in a new window/editor? I seem to remember seeing something about this but cannot find it. In a setup with multiple monitors, it would be great to have the graph in a separate window, with not window frames, etc., also for presentations...
