Could you try restarting dendron if you haven't after deleting it?

@Bassmann Tree View v2 shows empty for me as well, even after running "Reload Index" & "Reload Window." The regular one shows correctly if I comment out the

enableWebUI: true

line in the

dendron.yml

file, so it definitely seems like it's just the new version for some reason.

the reason you were seeing that is because markdown notes uses

go to definition

to create new notes. when you hover over a link, that triggers the behavior. dendron moved off that implementation for that reason

can repro as well. will investigate!

I've been in the throws of a transplant from OSX Catalina to Big Sur. I am noting a delay in startup once code is launch and I am curious if you have any tips about how I might troubleshoot that. I am not convinced it is dendron though, it does take some time for the extension to initialize.

You could check the command

Dendron:Dev: Open Logs

, which shows you exactly when everything happened. You could see if there's anything in Dendron that's taking a long time.

durationEngineInit

and

durationReloadWorkspace

? You should be able to just search for it in the logs

What is the difference between the

Dendron: Rename Note

and

Dendron: Refactor Heirarchy

? I want to give my scratch note a name to match my schemas, but not sure which command I should use.
