You may find (try) different framework / workflows as you go down the rabbit role of note taking tools, but eventually it differs from person to person so you may want to either create your own tool or assemble different tools to create a unique workflow that works only for you. It's all about finding your way, as @User mentioned.

I don't see myself sticking to the one true method any time soon. it will always change.

Also, re note taking methodologies, and I do not consider myself any sort of expert, is that it really depends on what your notes are for, what are you trying to achieve? Different strategies and methodologies work for some purposes and not others.

Probably an important thing is to not treat them as religious dogma, take the bits that work for you

Is it possible for me to publish a site such that everything under a vault appears as a child of the vault? Right now, its combining all notes from multiple vaults into 1 tree

I also noticed that the command that adds a new vault creates the root.md file. Does that mean I should be deleting all of those files and only leave a single root.md file in one of the vaults?

I tried the new workspace sync command but it leads to an error message, that no git folder can be found. I'm using a multi-vault setup that includes a local vault and two remote vaults. Has anyone else seen this?

Is the local vault in a git repository? It doesn't have to have a remote, but all your vaults have to be in repositories.

Yes. the way to do that is to set all other vaults to private. dendron won't publish any notes in private vaults [[visibility|dendron.topic.config.dendron#visibility]]

the root.md is part of how dendron operates. it represents the root of a particular vault

So the sync requires that all vaults are git repos?

Yes. Like I said though, it doesn't have to have a remote, you can just

git init .

in that vault and that should be enough. I am working on some changes to the workspace sync that will remove this requirement, as well as making sync more configurable. It should be ready in a few weeks.
