Hi, I'm migrating all my notes to Dendro (which it's truly becoming my work horse for notetaking), and I noticed something.

I've set up templates. And on the templates I've added a description. However, when I open a new note based on said templates, the description field is empty. Is that a feature? Is there a way to make the description on the templates to show on the new notes?

    currently, notes inherit the
    description
of the schema. you can use the schema template override custom frontmatter

Oh, I see. How do I do that?

the reason is that you can use the
    description
field of the template to describe the template (eg. this is used to generate journals)

Not my use case. But I get it.

I was using the description to describe the note (or set of notes, based on my chosen hierarchy).

How do I add a description to the schema on a child of said schema?

@User all seems well after copying my files over, couldn't find anything significant in the workplace settings. Did you happen to see my question about vscode url handling that I posted earlier today?

Well, I reloaded after adding the description to the child of my schema and nothing.

This is not really a problem. I'll manage as it is. I just love to make everything happen automagically!

Is this how I add the description to the schema? - id: Metafísica title: Metafísica desc: "Grupo de Estudos sobre a Metafísica de Aristóteles"

@User sorry, had to step out for a few meetings. so adding descriptions is a bit limited at the moment. it's only supported for notes that match schemas but not their children (eg.
    namespace
isn't yet ). i think this is more of a bug than anything else. if you submit a bug request, i'll make sure to fix this for the next release: https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/new?assignees=&labels=&template=bug_report.md&title=

I am cleaning up my notes and I have a few notes in Obsidian which I would like to import into Dendron. There are in a folder structure such as some loose, some in foldera, some in folderb etc. When I go to import pod I then put in the root source but this does not seem to import the notes which are within the folders. I could go and amend the directory at each import but wondering if there is a better way. Would be ideal to have something like foldera.note etc. Is this possible?

@User you want to import one level above the root to include files within the root

Ahh so if my notes are in xxxx/notes/ I would import from xxxx? I gave that a try and it does not seem to import anything - could it be capitalized folder names or anything like that? Thanks a lot in advance

speaking of obsidian, will be working on obsidian specific export features next week (eg. converting folder links to dendron hierarchy links)

Anyone using emmet in their markdown? Searching on google gives some setting for vscode to enable it for markdown but following those gives me emmet expansion that expands into html tags, not markdown ones, (which makes sense, because then link "markdown": "html"). Can't find anything on adding emmet expansions for a new language in vscode, anyone have some advice/links?

@User i'm guessing there were markdown notes inside try-dendron? if you don't have sensitive file names, what is the output of a
    find .
    ?
