I saw in announcements that the footer text issue is fixed. But everything still looks jumbled to me on 🤷‍♀️ 🙃

The fix hasn't been pushed to the Dendron wiki yet I think 🙂

Legend, thanks for the link - very helpful! I quite like the idea
    @ddbrierton
raised of prefacing dendron hotkeys with an initial dendron-specific hotkey in a sequence. Agree this should probably be optional though as some folks might not like the extra complexity (but I'd be a fan!). No bright ideas or insights from me to add though - looks like some useful proposals and questions being discussed in that GH issue so thanks again for sharing

@User Hey! Thanks for making this tool. I've introduced it to my team and we've begun collaborating via git. 🙂

@User Also, do you have any stock hierarchies you could share on various programming languages that could be useful to teams? ie, bash commands, programming languages, etc

Hi! Trying out Dendron. Does anyone use / have thoughts on how to use Dendron for a sort of memory tracking knowledge base? I'm really interested in keeping track of memories of people in my life, experiences I've had with them, photos / files I have of them, events, etc. My ideal system Dendron hits to an extent with tags and backlinks, I believe; and while I see I can use images in Dendron, I would love to essentially be able, at the end of the day, to click on my friend 'John' and see all of my associated notes, photos, and files I have about him.

I'd say you can either, e.g. create a category for
    friends
    and a subcategory forr
    John
and store all your different kinds of notes under that, or you could create entirely different categories (and sub categories) and tag your John related notes anywhere.

I personally prefer the latter approach. Something I'd love to do is being able to tag individual paragraphs in a long note. I typically think of many different things while writing my journal and that's the way I like it. But that said, I would also love to be able to point to certain subjects that I write in separate notes more systematically.

@User Got it - that makes perfect sense I think the subcategory per person makes the most sense, and then I could tag that category anywhere I want.

So that would look something like: 1. Write a new note about camping trip 2019. Tag it with [[friend.john]] 2. Friend > John in backlink panel would then have a reference to camping trip document, correct? Apologies if my understanding is not right here; I'm installing Dendron right now, so will figure it out pretty quickly, hopefully!

I'm sorry I can't really help you. I realize that having not used tags yet, I didn't realize that finding backlinks to a tag wouldn't be obvious to achieve... Just can't find it in Dendron, yet 😊

Got it now. Didn't realize that tags are, in fact, just notes. It may be somewhat misleading, in fact. Shouldn't it be said that tags can be done by creating notes-as-tags rather than presenting them as a separate feature?

yeah, that's a good point. we actually want to build some special syntax around tags (eg. allow people to add
    tags: [foo, bar]
in the frontmatter and have dendron index them as
    [[tags.foo]]
tags came up a lot in the #735365126227493004 channel which is why we added a specific tags section
