Is there a good way to get a link/reference to a few lines in a note? I often want to embed a few lines from another note, one which doesn't have official block structure like this`![[note name#header1:#header2]]` .

Maybe there is a way to already do this, but it would be very very useful to me.

currently not supported though we do plan on supporting arbitrary block references. can you submit a feature request so we can track it in our roadmap? https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/new?assignees=&labels=&template=feature_request.md&title=

Give that the vast majority of time is spent inside Markdown - maybe it would be interesting to support folding certain things by default such as HTML links and the parent hierarchy on a wiki link.

For readability I already have color scheme that hides the URL as much as possible:

But a proposed fold already reads easier IMHO:

    Per example:

    Versus:

Ah, apparently this requires in-line folding, which isn't supported in VSCode 😦 https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/50840

ah I saw your post earlier and was curious. no wonder I've never seen inline folding elsewhere 😦

unrelated: I cannot wrap my head around how many issues there are in that repo 😄 jeez

we might be able to cheat with using text decorators that replace the characters. something i've been meaning to experiment with

Can we toggle text decorators? That could be interesting. Though I'm already a bit worried because the decorators on the frontmatter already takes a few seconds to load for me sometimes 🙃

There's also a bug on the textmate grammar file for wiki links:

    (As in, they aren't recognized)

The plugin Markdown Notes does properly recognize them, probably worth taking a look at their tm definition:

Should't there be a channel for discussing any bugs encountered? RN I see similar chats in different channels and keeping them in one place would be better. Also where should I message if I encounter something unexpected while using dendron?

yeah, @User is working on it. you've noticed things have been pretty touch and go here. we're creating a more stable roadmap so people can know what to expect 😅
