GoodNotes added spaced repeptiion and flashcards trying to stay competetive. But all the competition is only good for the growth of this topic broadly.

however notion is extremely slow and not very good for info retrieval

ATM I only use notion for kanban boards, galleries of books etc...

but writing in notion and searching for those notes a month later is just a hassle

you have to create a new filter

to search only the tag you added last week

or create a new view or new linked database etc...

some people have really figured it out with cool setups

but it never worked for me

the kanban is really great though

there are kanban boards with special syntax in some markdown apps I've seen, including Roam, but all of them are faulty

If I'm not wrong I think Dendron users could take advantage of Self-Hosting / Codespaces and have their full Dendron setup anywhere they go, even if they don't have access to their specific computer. Which also I think means you could techincally use vscodium / vscode on an iPad.

codespaces should also work - just need someone to confirm since i'm still waiting for my invite 😅
