Automatically creating trimsheet layout from a sli...

Hey! First of all, love the tool, been using it for a while. I've been helping more friends get onboarded onto ZenUV and the same question keeps coming up: "how do I quickly create a trimsheet layout for hotspotting from a mesh". Since the hotspot texture creation usually involves slicing a quad -> adding bevels -> texturing it in something like substance - it is very common to have a pre-sliced mesh that could be converted to trims by simply taking each face and creating a trim for each one of them. However, since there is no functionality like that - for now people have to use substance designer to bake different colors for each uv island, and then use the Color Mask import feature of ZenUV to create a trim, which slows down the process considerably. So I would love to have a one-click solution that allows me to simply take a sliced mesh and treat each quad in the UV as a trim to dramatically speed up the layout creation. Thanks!

The easiest way is to apply Trimsheet texture to plane, cut trims as you want on the geo and after create trims from the face selection.

You can do this without any extra effort when adding Trim from the Trimsheet panel. Just select the "Faces" option. But it's strange. For some reason, there is no article on this topic in the documentation. Thanks for the tip. We will fix it soon. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1443468780251385998/1443502493043654656/TrimsheetSlicedMeshToTrims.mp4?ex=69294df5&is=6927fc75&hm=662dd575f5b7a656cc732ef893a7d732e7ee5406cfbf0bc1eabfc95790b315da&

all the other modes are fine

Could you record a short video showing how you do it? I recorded an example for you in Blender 5.0.
It looks like we have an error in 3D View. Try the same thing in UV Editor.

Fine. I'll fix it in the next release. Thank you.
