You have to faff with the altitude setting to get App Layering to work with FSLogix. Do you have to do the same with UPL?

If you remove UPL, does it all work as expected?

I didn`t try that yet, but if I disable FSL and only use UPL all is fine. I expect the same by disable UPL. But we need UPL anyway.....

Hmmm. I never really found an answer to this. I could never get UPL to work reliably. I did toy with the idea of using Chocolatey to write a config file, and then when the user logged on to a new machine, it installed all of the software again from the config file, but there is not yet an "action after install" feature in Chocolatey. Ended up looking at persistent until I can find an answer <spits>

Well, I struggled hard to get UPL working in one specific environment, and it shows that someone wo made the VDI template changed the default partition layout of Disk C (i think he increased some partition) and that change made UPL non-working. Case was confirmed by Citrix. After creating the template with default partinioning scheme UPL works perfectly by just installing the component in the vda and configuring the two policies in studio....
