I use it in production.

I did one implementation with ReFS last year that went south, but it was QNAP related. I'd be willing to try it again in prod
b
I would give another shot aswell. Love ReFS especially on PVS Servers.

We had issues with ReFS on file servers with Win2016 OS with profile containers where couple of times caused disconnection of SMB file share (local storage) and because we are using cloud cache a lot of VDA's where in full load and almost unsalable, until the affected profile servers was rebooted. MS stated after long and exhausting investigation that there is known issue in ReFS and Win2016 and since we moved to NTFS + Win2019 no issues was observed, strange that we have another customer using ReFS for profile containers and never had this problem. Neither we had this issue on Win2019 used for office containers, but was advised by MS to go out from ReFs even, so we did that.

Cloud Cache is too buggy IMO. I rather stick to SOFS or a CIFS vServer if HA is required.
d
yes, we know that CC is still buggy, but we are very limited with options due customer specific setup.

ReFS makes sense for large file shares such as FSLogix or PVS stores. Don't forget to change the allocation unit to 64k as well.

Next project on ReFS 💪

During our Tests we had problems on Server 2016, but not on Server 2019.

@Balint Oberrauch hopefully you would run in on 2019 OS and newer :)
@Marco Hofmann Win2019 should be fine, or at least I never observed that issue on our customer.

64k.... I had no idea about that. Thanks @Jonathan Pitre
b
@David Duchacek yeah sure. Migrated almost all customers already to 2019 or 2022 :)

no dedup with ReFS on Windows 2016 so I didn't try it yet.
