I used VEEAM for such a purpose on a project last year, fast/ez to use.

Thanks everyone, we are licensed for Veeam but never use for replication. That may change 🙂

I really love Veeam and it will replicate VM's from VMWare to another DC regardless of their power state, dependent on your licensing level you can also get a WAN OP option to help with smaller bandwidth sites. I use it at most of my clients for both backup and replication. Rock solid, fast, reliable and definitely flexible.
