Can you manipulate the Registry via InTune?
m
I don't know (yet).
j
If you have Citrix cloud you will have wem, you can do full gpo management with wem now, full admx support - it’s very nice
j
haha, backporting GPOs into AAD, love it
So using WEM service to manipulate Registry keys in Policies folders 🙂
m
I'm aware of that feature, although I never used it, because it's not included in the on-prem Citrix CSP base license. Now with Citrix Cloud, I have once again full access to WEM as a service, even with the smallest license. But I asked specifically for FSLogix, because the keys have to be in the master image, before the MCS cloning process, don't they? And if I recall correctly, WEM agent only starts its work after the MCS cloning process, and not in the master itself. So the keys wouldn't be there during boot up, and FSLogix would be un-configured.

Lol intune gave up and brought back gpo/admx as well - why “modernise” if it’s inefficient I say. The new ADMX feature in wem is friggin slick, they have done an awesome job @Marco Hofmann Nuh no need for keys in the image, gpo at boot is fine, keep the image lean and mean
m
@Dennis Told me otherwise a few years ago, or maybe I misunderstood him. Maybe he can help me out here?
j
There is only one setting that needs to be baked into the master, and that’s an advanced cloud cache proxy placement key - otherwise, nothing, in fact it’s a pain in the butt trying to undo settings baked into the master

I imported the FSLogix ADMX into Intune, now that it's supported.

Sorry for the late reply, but I got this to work and wanted to give feedback! @James Rankin Citrix DaaS Win 10 Multi User doesn't support intune, yet. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-daas/install-configure/machine-identities/microsoft-intune.html Requirements: VDA type: Single-session OS VDA @James Kindon Citrix WEM service with Rendezvous V2 and AADJ only works really good! I used that. Importing the ADMX and creating the policy was actually fun and worked immediately, thanks a lot! Bering able to actually use GPO on a DaaS machine catalog, that doesn't know any domain or can't make use of intune, but still having access to GPO is awesome! Hope that maybe helps somebody else!

Tis pretty awesome hey..... @Anthony Shi a nice example above of WEM GPO processing at play - great work by the team
