Odd @Ray Davis' UDP blog is 404'ing for me 😞
j
so weird, i guess they're not assigned by user anymore

The rule of thumb I always try to follow with these collaboration/Softphone tools is this. 1. Most cases, the vendor will make a VDI installer, that will use the virtual channel for Citrix. Meaning there is a VDI install that will go on the VDA, then there is a client part that will work in conjunction with the VDI install to offload the ICA-audio traffic through the ICA Virtual Channel. 2. If there is not one made, then I fail back to trying to use Citrix policies, but it will not get the best experience vs the vendor native installer. For this case, There is a Jabber VDI installer. I never used Jabber in a Citrix Session, But i have used Webex, Zoom, Skpe RTME, BlueJeans, Avaya. They are all just about the same. https://www.webex.com/downloads/jabber/jabber-vdi.html

But @Jon Bucud I have seen this, since CUGC switch to the new site. I am not sure why? I have other folks tell me on other blogs. I need to get with @Stephanie Boozer and see if it's normal now.

@newbie1998 a couple year ago. I watched a webinar by @Shane Kleinert and @Oz Zy. They had so much great information on this topic. I will see if I can dig it up. It was more around a high level with some configurations. But the purpose was to show the audience how these tools work in a VDI session.
@newbie1998 It is not the complete webinar, But screenshots I gathered for myself when I was going down this journey. Also on the questions, Ask away I say. Not everyone knows everything. From my experience, the slack channels that was put together is just for this. You may not always get the answers but most of the time the folks on here will point you in the direction you are seeking.

@Ray Davis thanks to you and everyone else

@Ray Davis @Jon Bucud - not sure why that would have happened. We’ve put in redirects in case anyone has the old blog links as well. I’ll check the redirect for this one too.

Thanks Stephanie, fwiw, I thought my link was a Bevy link. I could be wrong though.

Thanks Stephanie as well. I have heard some before, but not much lately.
