No, but had similar issues getting a smartcard redirection to work and gave up on it. It was visible in the VDA and should have worked, but never got a browser to interact successfully. Didn't put a lot of effort into it as it wasn't a real need, curious if anyone else solved this.

@Christian Jöns we are preparing a Published App migration from RDSH to Citrix Virtual Apps. One of our testings while preparation is checking redirection of Kobil USB Smart Card Dongle from the client into remote session for DATEV Unternehmen Online on the Citrix Worker. We got it working with redirecting over the HDX virtual channel. Not using the „old“ generic USB mode. Edge is recognizing the smart card certificate and is providing it in the crypto security pop-up window so that the enduser can select it passing authentication on DATEV Unternehmen Online website. The short overview: We had to configure a couple of Citrix policies for client connection and VDA. Plus installing DATEV SiPa both on client and Citrix worker.
