Many places use numbers in an AD name. Some places use employee numbers and never actual names.

I agree with Carl. I have never seen an issue with numbers in a user name

^Yep. Every place I have worked at since 2005 has used numbers in usernames.

No issues that I have seen, I just wanted to to make sure there are no issues that I have not thought about! Thanks everyone.

MS's script running since 1998 to get the maximums for AD, uses only numbers for everything.

I know there are issues with machine names made of numbers only - not sure about users. But a letter/number combination should be good.

This restriction is because of DNS restrictions.
