TBH I gave up on EDT for similar reasons, from memory. Doesn't necessarily help you sorry!

I thought there was a reg key for this
This was an issue in Win7
The setting is a DWORD value named “CleanupSessionListenersCancelDelay” under [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Citrix\Portica]. - CleanupSessionListenersCancelDelay values are always positive (REG_DWORD => Uint32). The possible values are: - Zero means no delay which is the default - A non-zero value means that cancelling the liseners is delayed by the specified number of milliseconds - A value of 0xFFFFFFFF (Uin32.MAX_VALUE) means that cancelling the listeners is never done
no idea if those still do anything

I am seeing this using Citrix cloud, thought it was just me

Mike, I don’t see that key on VDA 1912 CU2 but I will definitely test it! I found two articles, one said to set to 1000ms and the other said to delete it. 😜 Did you use this to fix issues logging into a fresh session, and what value did you use? Prior to EDT most of our users were prone to session lag whenever the Internet acted...like the Internet. 😉

We used 1000 and this was to stop it at log off from what I remember

Do you have LACP configured ? I had a similar issue recently and we noticed it was caused by LACP being misconfigured. The Citrix ADC SNIP was losing several packets when we running a continuous ping. When we disabled one of the LACP interface, the problem disappeared. So we now know it was 100% caused by an LACP missconfguration. Also, please ensure you have UDP Flooding enable in your firewall.

Thanks Jonathan! I will look into those items first thing tomorrow! What was wrong with LACP config and how did you fix it? Never heard of UDP Flooding but our Infosec group will definitely be asked ASAP!
j
We have not fix the LACP issue just yet, there's a bunch of Citrix articles that list issue with LACP and cisco switches. However, we are certain it's caused by LACP since when we disabled one of the interface, performance are back to normal. Here' s the ctx article talking about UDP Flood Protection https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX239770 Fortigate example for UDP Flood Protection:

Best I can tell we don’t have any issues with LACP. Still waiting for word on the UDP Flood Protection, but to clarify are you saying you had to enable it to fix this issue? Were you able to identify the issue with packet captures on either side of the firewall? I have a feeling we will be attempting to capture this failure on Client, VDA and both Netscalers so Citrix can end up not finding anything. 😢 I’m wondering what I could look for at the VDI image level, these problems increased after we upgraded from 1903 to 2004, and replaced the 2012 VDA with 1912 CU2. Thanks for all the information so far!
