If they are using the same profile, no bueno. If the profiles have version tags / extensions (profile.v4, profile.v6) you should be fine. Also, if your users aren't currently on FSL, then testing on FSL == no problem (this is what we're doing - UPM in Prod, FSL in Test). We have scripts to move over Chrome bookmarks and Outlook signature so users don't have to set everything back up again when whacking FSL profile.

using FSlogix in both environments
not using version tags..
please share scripts for chrome bookmarks and outlook sigs.. 🙂
or, just post them on CitrixIRC man 😉
So.... Then if you're upgrading from say... 2008R2 to 2016.. from UPM to FSlogix... just using the conversion script, will NOT work.. if i'm reading you right...

In that case, we have a completely separate profile environment, so no problems - users get brand new profiles. We do not convert at all. All we do is bring over a few of the items which cause us the most problem.
Regarding the scripts, sure thing!

well, that would explain why i had some weird ass issues in some of my migrations. 🙂

2016 -> 2019 seems to interchange fine, wouldnt try it with 2012 though 😮

and some of mine are even 2008R2 to 2019.. haha

Or use UE-V like @Aaron Parker has posted and blogged about

hmm.. i have Vmware UEM... i guess technically i could use that too. export all the settings, and reimport them into the new FSLogix profile..

i went from upm to fsl as well, started new with fsl, told users to run a batch file on first logon to copy outlook sig, chrome pb file, ie favs and some other folders. easy and done
now the printers are a whole other story and really pissing me off, argh!
gpp brings them in but doesnt seem to be saving the default. i am using the create option in gpp so perhaps that's the issue?

Disable the print spooler service - job done. ;)
