Yes. I did have have an edited version in my repository but have scaled my list right back.
I think a large redirections list is the opposite to what we're trying to achieve with putting the profile in the container - we want to get the user experience closer to what it is like on a physical PC.
That means consuming more capacity, but I think you'll get better performance (applications not having to re-download cached data).
Hence I prefer pruning the container instead.

That's the battle I'm weighing in my mind right now. We're only redirecting a handful of folders, most of which are necessary.
a
Having said that though, I don't manage a production environment. Some customers may have capacity constraints.
n
One benefit I suppose is that a larger container shouldn't really affect logon performance compared to CPM.
a
User Experience should be king.

I recently added WebEx and GoToMeeting, and am comfortable leaving that redirected. We don't have Chrome in our desktop, so I don't have to make a call there yet.

@Eric i would be interested to see the actual logon penalty with a large redirections xml in place

Great input. @James Kindon send it my way, would be great to test it against the @Aaron Parker base line. I have 1 node with VMware & 1 with Nutanix which now perform onpar. I’m ready to test whatever uses cases the EUC World have & I’ll have the results ready overnight

If your doing folder redirection should you exclude those in the profile? @Eric feel free to test in my environment too.

@Cory Zaner if you're using folder redirection (I assume to a network share) you don't need to also exclude those locations from the container as they won't exist in the container.

Hi all, I just changed my redirection.xml, I changed anything to “0”, instead of “1". Logon times are much faster, because nothing is copied back. We use this XML in several production environments. FSL profile load time is about 2-3 sec. according to the logs. https://www.sul.de/2019/04/05/fslogix-in-a-citrix-provisioning-environment/
