Only - I don't know what's setting that. I don't have a GPO / GPP setting it, so my guess is either WEM or FSLogix.
n
I have seen that error since day one, even though it appears to be redirecting just fine.
I do have DisablePersonalDirChange configured (disabled) via GPO.
d
Yes, it’s WEM if you use folder redirection. You can create a registry action and change the regkey.
t
Thanks Dennis. I'll test it 😃
d
To be clear, if you use WEM for folder redirection the ‚DisablePersonalDirChange’ regkey changes to 1 and this generates the FSL error. I think it really has an impact, cause the InetCache folder cannot be redirected. Just change it back with an WEM action.
n
How would an action even work in that scenario? At that point, the redirections should be complete, and would have already failed in FSLogix, no?
d
It works after the second login, after the registry key is changed back. I‘m pretty sure. I don’t see this error anymore.
n
I've seen it randomly, but now that I'm actively looking for it, am not getting it. Go figure.
Well, an action wouldn't really do me any good here since I'm already setting that via GPO. Same result, different path.
t
The question is - if you set via GPO, does WEM override it? Which one takes precedence? And are you setting via GPO or GPP?
n
I'm definitely not setting it via GPP; disabling the Prohibit User from manually redirecting Profile Folders setting directly.
We use WEM for our folder redirection and haven't had an issue with the config at all.
t
Same here. OK, will make that change.
