@Selimir replying in thread.... yep, seeing if someone has a script before I go write one
s
I do not have a script but i have done this with https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/registry_file_offline_export.html Steps to do (logon script): Export the above key with RegFileExport.exe from ntuser.dat of UPM profile to a temp file Run reg import with the temp.reg file And then set the following key in the new profile HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\DefaultProfile = YourDefaultProfileName
I have migrated the following things with it: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MINIE HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\File MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Place MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Powerpoint\File MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Powerpoint\Place MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\File MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Place MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Access\File MRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Preferences

Not sure if you have access to VUEM or the MS equivalent, because you can do it with those too.
d
You do not need to configure both FSLogix profiles and O365 containers, O365 containers is inclusive in profiles
r
i don't think that's correct, Dirk.
well, i see what you're saying. if you have just profiles, it does contain everything that's in o365. you break out o365 if you want a separate container to store your "cache" data elsewhere.
d
Exactly!
Could also cause issues if you separate both, that is what ms support gave as feedback on one of our tickets
r
"issues" ?
d
Profile disk not unloading correctly etc
r
sounds like malarkey to me.

There are still legit architectural reasons to split the containers - I/O profiles are completely different, session disks aren’t possible with profile container and differencing disks aren’t supported when you have exchange / outlook cache mode in play - so it’s not always black and white
r
absolutely... backups as well.
j
very good point - 365 Data is mostly crud cache
r
I separated mine. I just think over all its best. Organization, and keep profile with profile, o365 with session disk.
