We have it disabled completely via the registry in our Platform layer.

Some companies requires screensavers for security reasons, hence we don't disable it in Citrix Optimizer

makes sense......i did see we can use group policy to disable it (or set it to a specific one maybe). seems to default to "none" for everyone but we may have a few people that got fancy and changed it to the old mystify.scr which seems to chew up a lot of cpu so maybe i'll see what i can do. @Nick Panaccio which reg key are you setting if you dont mind me asking?
n
Path: HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop Name: ScreenSaveActive Data: 0 (DWORD)
Should be able to set this via GPO, as well.
a
awesome thanks! so with our setup where we have the session lock after 10 min of inactivity if we set that key too it would just sit at the lock screen (or act like we have the screensaver set to "none")?
n
Honestly not sure - you'd definitely have to test it out.
a
np i'm betting thats what it would do but i'll give it a whirl . thanks!
