Are you sure? This states Pure Azure AD is only supported with Azure as hosting platform. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops-service/install-configure/azure-joined-ndj-vda-configuration.html

You are right @Eirik Vesterhus / Intility AS
Microsoft states that AAD joined VMs in a VDI setup are only supported for AVD and Windows 365 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/devices/howto-device-identity-virtual-desktop-infrastructure#supported-scenarios

Thanks. This looks interesting: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/whats-new#support-for-azure-ad-joined-cloud-pcs Windows 365 Enterprise now supports Cloud PCs that are Azure AD joined. These devices can run in either: • A Microsoft-hosted network: ◦ You don’t need to bring any Azure infrastructure ◦ You don't need to create an on-premises network connection. • Your own network (using an on-premises network connection)
