I don’t know of any limitations around instance types for mcsio - but hey, weirder things have happened - did he have a specific instance type mentioned?

It seems the write cache disk is only visible inside explorer (with a drive letter) with instance that have a temporary disk (ex: D2dsv4 or D4dasV4)

Strange - the write cache was always a separate disk in azure which would could be set to persist or not persist until recently. Are they playing with “Use non-persistent write-back cache disk” settings? Maybe a new release has broken a flow somewhere
