Hi, @Paul Brown -- one reason for the inability to remove a storage repository is if something is still active on it. Make sure it's not being accessed by any process. Can you unplug the associated PBD? If not, something is probably active. If the SR is gone there may be an orphaned PBD hanging around, hence you might want to run "xe pbd-list params=all" to see if you can find one disassociated from any SR. This KB article might be of some help: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX131328

@Tobias Kreidl thank you for the reply. All the PBD’s are showing unplugged, and we are not accessing anything on the repository. “destroy” task has been running for over 11 hours at this point.

Thanks for helping @Tobias Kreidl. I knew you’d have some suggestions.

It should not take that long. Something is probably still connected. This is an LVM right? You can also try rebooting the host which should clear up any hung connections.
Also, worst case, eject that host from the pool at which point the contents of the local SR will be destroyed, and then add it back into the pool.

It’s an NFS ISO repository.
ok. So finally, it allowed me to select forget via the GUI and poof - gone.

Whatever was holding it up probably timed out (which many things will do once 24 hours has passed without completion). Glad it's all good now! You would have lost the NFS repository mapping most likely, as well, had the host been ejected from the pool.
