Run PXE checker and see if it can contact DHCP server. Along with firewall ports. Create a static BDM iso, and make sure one can boot as well.
Sounds like ur DHCP DORA isn't completing
l
Have you tried rebooting the host?
a
Not yet - will reboot
r
Let's us know, I just went through this 4 weeks ago.
a
Host reboot didn’t help 🥺
It’s very strange as only LEGACY NIC seems to be affected:-(
l
Very weird. You'll need to do a packet capture on a VM connected with the legacy nic. Always ask the question though.... What has changed?
a
I can’t as it’s empty VM just to start booting and steaming from PVS
l
Yes. You'll have to build a machine with the legacy adapter attached. Something to consider is duplicate Mac addresses.
Make sure this is not the case although technically that would block all network communication.
a
Will check it - good advice 👍
l
No problems.
a
Any tool recommendation to test DHCP connections?
l
Without a packet capture it's difficult unless you can packet capture on the switch itself.
r
Run PXE checker from pvs.
It's a DHCP PVS boot checking tool from citrix
l
Yeah that'll diagnose a fault it DHCP is not working. Worth ruling this out.
d
Do you have DHCP reservations? Do you use just PXE or TFTP option 66/67 in your DHCP scope?
a
Yes - reservation is fine. Everything was full working till yesterday.
d
Did you edit the BOOTPTAB file on the PVS servers in past? Maybe only specific MAC addresses? Did you restart PXE/TFTP services?
Is your problem solved @Arthur ? Any feedback on this issue would be great.
