Although the default browser still says Google Chrome, but I still get the prompt!
n
I've used SetDefaultBrowser.exe in my QA environment (applied via WEM), which works really well. But right now I'm not seeing the same behavior as you. Links open without prompting.

It has also messed up PDF FTA
problem is, I donโ€™t want to force a certain web browser as default, I just want to keep the user choice as is
n
For the PDF issue, I had to set the following registry keys in my environment: Path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationAssociationToasts Value: AppXd4nrz8ff68srnhf9t5a8sbjyar1cr723_.pdf Type: DWORD Data: 0 Path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationAssociationToasts Value: MSEdgePDF_.pdf Type: DWORD Data: 0

After that, Acrobat would go back to being default, no prompting.

Turned out not to be a FTA issue but rather Windows prompting new featured apps e.g Edge in this case... thanks all for the tips

Yeah, we battled this when v1803 came out. We set that "Do not show" setting and it fixed it.
