Are you using Univeral Print Server or just a standard native driver installed on the XenApp servers?

I did not install any drivers on the VDA server.

When I have to install drivers on a XenApp Server. I try to use the manufactures universal driver for the printers. Like HP has one and we use it a lot. Then for redirection of of printers, the UPD gets used.

Well, there are tons of users with different printers at home.. how can we pick drivers for each of the printers?

How are you mapping printers?

Yeah. I have enabled citrix printer policy to use universal print driver only.. and installed HP LaserJet 2800 driver on the VDA. Issue resolved. Thank you.

I guess I dont understand why you needed a Driver on the VDA side for UPD. I can recall years ago. The UPD talks to the native driver, to pull in some pieces to be able to use the UPD 100%. This may be the case here. But that was XA 6.0. Many years ago

I enabled the policy but it didn’t work. After installing the driver on vda it worked.
