never heard of that, afaik the vsphere for desktop allows either. The only difference is that when you use it for horizon you cna also run the connection servers etc on it but it's not allowed to run your vitrix brokers on it
s
Must admit I have not heard that one James? What makes you think there may be?
j
Customer told me today they couldn't deploy Windows 10 on Citrix on VMware because they'd been told by VMware their licenses didn't allow it but did allow Horizon to do it. I've asked them to clarify with whoever told them this, but I'm thinking it is either BS or a misunderstanding. Will update with more detail

Hmm needs some investigation James but I haven’t heard that one before
w
I call it bs, over agressive VMW sales rep @Steve McGovern it doesn't mention that in there.

I can’t find any ESX license restrictions that would prevent this combination. The only restriction I can think of is Msoft licensing for RDSH and Win10? If in doubt push back on the person saying this and ask for a copy of the EULA that states this. Feels like a bit of miscommunication.
Any news @James Rankin or all sorted?

Client has gone quiet....let me chase tomorrow again, it actually slipped my mind as we were finalizing their SCCM build
