we used to do that a lot but mostly through interviewing many people (management as well but more real people).. asking what they do for a job, which department they work, how they work, what they think could be better to enhance their work, how they would like to work when they had the choice... what devices they use, where they work (home/office), how often the work remote, collaborations, sharing of files, etc etc.. if you ask 20 people these same questions.. the segmentation shows.

i got a few in my notes you talking about the user layer questions or the actual user segmentation process where you group them by workload, mobility, personalization, security, desktop loss critically and things like application discovery / application set so you can assign the correct flexcast model
Users * Describe the different depts. and how they utilize Citrix resources * Client Oss * Receiver versions * Endpoints in use * Thin/Thick/Laptops/mobile devices * Number of total users * Concurrent vs possible * Number of branches * Link speeds for branch connectivity * Peripherals in use with Citrix?
the 1912 VDI handbook has some info for the user segmentation

Thanks, I went back and looked at the handbook and there’s a ton of good stuff in there, haven’t looked at it in a while. Was looking at the workbook for the CCE-V exam and it’s all links to stuff that doesn’t exist anymore
