2003 😮
..and no, I have no idea 🙂

For which Hypervisor? VMware Converter or Sysinternals Disk2Vhd

If Dennis’ ideas don’t work: Not sure it can do the trick but, I would use Clonezilla to do a backup, create an empty VM, and use CloneZilla to restore the backup on this VM. Maybe installing hypervisor tools might help before doing the backup. It’s king of a wizardry but, 2003…

VMware hypervisor

You'll need an older version of Vmware converter which still supports Server 2003 (somewhere in the 5.xx releases). Problem is that it cannot connect to the recent ESXi versions. So it needs some tinkering

Thanks all, let me see if any of these can help my lift-and-shift of a PS4.5 farm to Azure. No laughing at the back

I failed miserably at getting 2003 servers into azure. Followed everything I could and simply failed every time - nasty nasty shit
j
Don't go telling me that, this is my last hope
j
:-) it was a disaster - contemplated VMware on azure as an option (2003 boxes were vsphere based) but price point quite high. So we left them on their own in a corner 🤘you have no backup options or anything like that unless you hack around with disk snaps or go buy veeam (or free edition) for azure

SureLine might be able to do this, they've got stellar support
j
We've got Hyper-V in Azure we could use, if necessary. Will add SureLine to the list

VMware workstation works on win10 in azure...
