Yes, but these are 'shared' devices where we kill old profiles after a specific time period. Clinicians will be logging into multiple devices every single day.

got then yea makes sense
j
could pop UX on there and get a breakdown on the login see whats going on
i wouldn't remove the active setup stuff, i have always thought that was a shotty way to save time. there are some stubs that are needed
n
Already did that with the AnalyzeLogonDuration script, so I've got a breakdown of the pain points.
Edge we need, but Chrome, now that it's not the default, and we don't pin it in our StartLayout file? That can probably go away, along with the Windows Media Player entries.
I can probably remove all of the ones that I currently pull in Citrix without issue.
j
in reality what modern apps do you really need? calc, stick notes, paint.. not much
n
Only a few, but I'm only concerned with Photos, Store, and Camera, as those are the worst offenders.
d
You also could go the fslogix route on physical machines to roam the profiles :)
n
That was my first thought, but the storage requirement would be insane.

There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch 🤷‍♂️
j
Ewww, profiledisk on physical workstations.
Ok so real question here, does it have to be a free solution only?

I remove the active setup registry keys and have been for years now. I haven't had any issues. "knock on wood"
