Hmmm, they don't seem to be roaming with my Ivanti config then - I've captured that folder
n
There's a flat file named Bookmarks in that folder.
j
I just have Bookmarks.bak and Bookmarks.msbak
ah
the "Bookmarks" file is being ignored by Ivanti for some reason
m
or the user is using multiple profiles (or has in the past) and now it's not in the default folder anymore...
j
It's there, I see it in the filesystem. Ivanti is not putting it in the "virtual" filesystem it captures.
m
by default I really meant User Data\"Default"
j
Gotcha
m
Do you see any Profile<n> folders?
j
No. It's simply not capturing the file, the file does exist. If I copy it manually it roams fine. Something up with the Ivanti config and/or how it captures Edge
m
Oh, ok. Haven't worked with Ivanti...
j
Cracked it.....apparently you need to use a Windows Personalization Group, not an Application Group, for Edge Chromium. Thanks all
d
There is also an Edge GPO to roam things like Bookmarks and history.
n
That's if you're logging in the user with their AD account, though.
Wait, you're probably referring to the roaming setting where you specify a roaming path.
d
@James Rankin Pete has a complete XML for that on the avanite site , also please note the other post on their blog, the path to the actual files have changed for Chrome and will change for Edge
n
That was just cookies and network data, though, not bookmarks.
d
and make sure startup boost has been disabled
