Yeah I used it a lot mate even deleting profiles from multiple machines however did have a few issues I think when we moved to 20h2 at my last gig.
b
Is it normal for it to be extremely slow? over an hour to clear all old profiles on a single machine?
t
Yep for sure I've seen it on some machines where it can take a minute or 2 to delete a profile, so best to run the script at night time maybe?
b
Hrmm, I am more like 15 per profile.
15 mins
t
Ouch that's pretty long I wonder if the profiles are huge or the machines old?
Though not done it myself maybe look into remotely deleting profiles using CimInstances, I think WINRM needs to be fully enabled for it to work, quite shocking there isn't a fullproof MS solution out there
s
In cloned machine the stale profiles delprof2 is unable to delete
r
It can take a while if to cleanup all profiles if never ran. I copy it to system32 and use BISF to run it at every sealing. Now if they are non persistent, I used CU to run it remotely. But WinRM will work too.
