Well, it is Microsoft so something like a changed TLS standard could be it? Connecting via something that is not TLS 1.2 maybe? I have no experience with this kind of way of mapping OneDrive to a drive letter.

Have you set the GPO to automatically logon in that zone?
Microsoft have changed things quite a lot in the background and it is probably related to IE retirement. I know the guys at CloudDriveMapper had to make some changes to get their product working after Microsoft changed a lot of stuff behind the scenes
t
It does seem to be related to the IE changes, its server 2016 we are using. Ill have a gander at the GPOs here and double check
j
Just buy CloudDriveMapper
d
perhaps a change in the cloud? search the UWM config for any of the reg entries that disable modern auth, take that away and see if it starts working
t
@James Rankin I am not sure that they will be happy to purchase the CloudDriveMapper, i guess that is one option but we are hoping to explore the ability to get it working via the previous method.
@Dennis van Dam I am going to check in UWM for any of these settings that you mention and i will disable as per your suggestion if I do find anything unusual

Microsoft are eventually going to kill it off completely, I had one customer who struggled for years back-and-forth with a custom WebDAV solution that would break and then stop being broken...eventually they just gave up and bought CDM. It's pretty cheap and it stopped all the hassle.

Quick update we logged a support case with Microsoft who basically said sorry not supported we wont help you. Your on your own which was expected i need to send it back to the management team now and let them decide
j
Yep, they're not keen on connecting via these methods, which is why CDM makes a lot of sense as they absorb the support hit and produce new code when MS make changes
