As far as I can tell it seems that the required .Net 6 apps aren't in the repo I am pointing at which seems to be _rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-eus-rhui-rpms_, but as I've said previously, not a penguin person so not entirely clear on how it should operate. All I know is it worked last week and it doesn't this week

Linux is a bit like that, you can add an additional repo into sources which will then force yum to enumerate more repos, or download the rpm manually with a curl command and install it. I don't know the commands off the top of my head though so it'll be a Google for either one of us.

No, but I am willing to try anything currently
Hmmm, that seems to work but it's not showing version 6 in dotnet --info - let's try a reboot

Did it work?
j
Not sure, it seems to have broken xdping. Gonna start from scratch again tomorrow

Is your instance registered with subscription manager?
j
As I'm a Linux noob, you will have to explain that in more detail. All I know is it worked last week
It picks up all other updates fine though
j
Bingo, thanks Ryan, that seems to have cracked it. Weird how it worked last week, but all's well that ends well 🙂
