100-150% generally
(Charged to the client on top of what they pay you)
e
Yeah that's what I'm trying to figure out. Customer pays $150, I get $110 and the agency $40, that is bloody 26%
j
That's nothing, I regularly get paid about £500 and the agency bills the client about £1200. Robbery with violence

thats about what i'm at too, I see around 75%.

Agents are pimps 101 none of em even care if you worked in a desert, warzone or 1000 feet under ..
m
I’m on salary but I get billed at about 280% of what I get paid.

How do you find out that's insane, I sometimes think being an agent would be more lucrative than being a contractor.
j
It would be. Some agencies have hundreds of contractors out there pulling them in tens of thousands per day. I've definitely thought about it. As for finding out - just ask. Or read the invoices like I did when I originally found out the mark-up
On the other hand, there are a few agencies - like Steria - who run low-margin operations and simply make up for it in volume. Steria only charge 15% on top
