Hi All, we are having an issue with BISF 1912.6 on Citrix MCS (Server 2025). When using BISF to seal the image on XenServer, the child boots with APIPA address and MCS Master VM also has the issue when powering ON after sealing. We are using same BISF version without any issues on Server 2025 with MCS on VMware, PVS on VMware and XenServer. Issue is only with MCS on XenServer.

Please always include the BISF log when reporting issue, it will help us identify the root cause problem quicker. Thanks

We don't have cache disk. What would be the default log location for BISF?

Following suggestions from @Marco Hofmann seem to have addressed the issue. I will monitor for a week and then provide another update.
Write-Host "##[command]Customize Scripts of $Vendor $Product $Version"
((Get-Content "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1" -Raw) -replace "DisableTaskOffload' -Value '1'", "DisableTaskOffload' -Value '0'") | Set-Content -Path "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1"
((Get-Content "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1" -Raw) -replace 'nx AlwaysOff', 'nx OptOut') | Set-Content -Path "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1"
((Get-Content "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1" -Raw) -replace 'rss=disable', 'rss=enable') | Set-Content -Path "$BISFDir\Preparation\97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1"

Glad I could help! Although I borrowed these tips years ago from somebody else and I can't exactly remember who. But it was also here on Slack, from someone I regularly discuss with.

Hi, we have the exact same problem. Unfortunately, I can't make sense of the log. Could someone explain the cause in more detail?

The post from Srinivasan isn't the log file - it's a script that you can put in your Custom folder to make some changes to the file "97_PrepBISF_PRE_BaseImage.ps1". There are some breaking commands in that file that the script above fixes. Quick process - create a new PS1 file called something like Prep_Fix.ps1. Put it in (from the top of my head, so you'll have to verify) C:\Program Files (x86)\Base Image Script Framework(BIS-F)\Framework\Subcall\Preparation\Custom
Then, run PrepareBaseImage.cmd as usual. It should run the custom script during the run that changes the file. Something I might be off on - as I don't remember 100% - it might run AFTER the 97_PrepBISF_Pre_BaseImage.ps1 runs, which means things are still broken. 😕 To be safe, you can run the saved script in an elevated PowerShell terminal first.

Those PS commands have to be run after the BISF Setup and before you execute it for the first time. For us, these commands are just part of the script we use to install BISF, directly after the MSI itself.
