Does BIS-F optimize the TSfairshare settings? I cannot remember optimizing them myself, but to my surprise they were already configured when I looked.

@Matthias Schlimm something to be aware of for BIS-F https://support.citrix.com/s/article/CTX678084-image-preparation-step-fixsccm-failed-error?language=en_US TLDR - MCS now handles SCCM cert fixups as part of the ImagePrep, if we delete / action these tasks prior to ImagePrep doing it (such the prep phase), then we might cause issues here

It's been a long time since I had to deal with a customer who is using app layering... Does BIS-F go in the OS layer or the platform layer?

We created a terminal server by reverse imaging PVS vDisk. BISF was used on vDisk to move event logs from C to WC Disk. Is there a way to point all event logs back to C drive on the terminal server created using script?

I’m using it with latest BIS-F version, but single user. With PVS target device increase the max execution time in the global BIS-F GPO to 120 minutes.

If anyone has the need to remove dynamically updating runkeys, there you go πŸ™‚ Can be added as a custom preparation script. BISF/RemoveRunKeys.ps1 at main Β· BalintOberrauch/BISF

Guys, This might not be a BIS-F issue, but I’m running into a problem where the permissions on my write cache volume (MCS) seem to get corrupted. The image has been running fine for months, but now BIS-F fails due to permission issues. When this happens, the drive completely locks upβ€” even owners and domain admins can’t edit or create files. The volume hosts event logs, WEM cache, etc. I’ve tried recreating a new volume, but the same issue happens after attempting to run BIS-F. Any ideas? Cheers

Can someone help me out with my thinking process? πŸ˜„ Policy is bound to master and clones. Cache Disk on Master is getting formatted and on clones too. Existing Cache Disks will not be reconfigured/expanded and I need to delete the VMs and redeploy them.

Guys, I'm looking to use BIS-F on a Win11 master MCS image. The machines it will provision will be persistent so the master image will be maintained for patches/updates but only used for new starts and rebuilds/failures. BIS-F will help for cleanup tasks and firing optimizer etc but are there any specific configuration to consider or avoid in this scenario? I have used in the past for a master image used for provisioning MCS persistent but I'm going back a while and though Id ask the question, Trying to recall if I disabled all personalization tasks firing on every boot. cheers

Seems like Pagefile needs to be set to C:\ with 2402 and later, even if there's a Cache Disk. Session Manager "This session will be disconnected due to a policy evaluation error" - Page 2 - XenDesktop 7.x - Citrix Community

How do you configure the MCS Cache Disk when there's no Cache Disk assigned to the master? Seems like the Personalization Script is not running at boot and I don't find any logfile. Am I missing something in the config?

I'm reposting this as a new thread because my reply from a couple days ago is not showing up in the BIS-F forum on linen.dev, and it may have not synced somehow. πŸ™‚ Grateful if anyone has some insight. Hello @Oz Zy and others. I'm running Windows Server 2019 VMs for my Citrix VDAs and infrastructure. We have 10Gbps in the datacenter everywhere for Citrix (NetApp NFS storage, VM networks, etc.). However, my VDAs (both the "parent" and "child" VMs) only see ~100 MB/s network transfers. On my infrastructure VMs (FAS, DDC, SF) running on the same hardware, I get 200 - 300 MB/s network transfers. I do see that RSS has been disabled on my VDAs, and I suspect that is why I'm only getting ~100 MB/s transfers. So my question is: Does the advice above for Windows 2025 also apply to a fully-patched 2019 install? I see that @Ray Davis posted on Carl Stalhood's site as far back as October 2018 that he recommended having RSS enabled. And should I also enable Task Offload as well? Preliminary testing shows benefit to doing both on Windows Server 2019.
