This release is the next Long-Term Service Release (LTSR), succeeding 2507, and includes all the new innovations, features, and enhancements introduced since 2507. Key Features and Benefits in this Release The following features and benefits have been added since the 2507 LTSR: • 64-bit Architecture: Citrix Workspace app for Windows is now built as a native 64-bit application, with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Cisco Webex plugins included. • .NET 10 Framework: The application runtime moves from .NET 8 to .NET 10, delivering improved performance, enhanced security, and long-term support from Microsoft. • Always On Tracing (AOT): Automatic, continuous log collection enabling Workspace app components to generate structured AOT logs centrally collected by the AOT Log Server, removing the need for manual log capture. Now includes support for Gateway scenarios. • AI Upscaling with NVIDIA RTX Super Resolution (GA): Integrates NVIDIA RTX Super Resolution to upscale session content on the client device, reducing bandwidth while maintaining image quality. • Optimized Overlay Clipping for Multimedia Sessions: Resolves UI elements appearing behind video content in HDX-optimized sessions, replacing legacy polling with efficient graphics-based overlay clipping to reduce VDA CPU utilization. • Enhanced EDT Lossy Connection Support with Secure HDX: The DTLS requirement for EDT lossy connections has been removed; Secure HDX 2.0 is now recognized as a valid encryption method, simplifying configuration. • Storebrowse SDK In-Memory ICA File Handling: ICA files can now be processed entirely in memory when using the Storebrowse SDK, preventing sensitive connection data from being written to disk. • Session Recording Add-On Support: The Session Recording agent can be installed as an add-on, enabling endpoint-perspective session recording for compliance, auditing, and troubleshooting. • Multi-Monitor Experience Enhancements: Users can select specific monitors for session display from the Desktop Viewer toolbar, with improved dock/undock behavior and mixed DPI support. • Enhanced Touch Keyboard Experience: Significantly improved client-side touch keyboard with intelligent auto-show/hide, expanded input support including handwriting and emoji, and improved auto-scroll behavior. • Anti-DLL Injection Event Logging: Untrusted module load attempts are silently logged to Windows Event Viewer and reported to Director/Monitor with metadata, replacing end-user notifications.
