Anyone else think the delay on the next LTSR is due to last minute rebranding? Like when the "Everything XEN" happened right before Synergy, and if you went into the dumpsters behind the convention center you could see all the Metaframe Presentation Server materials thrown away? (allegedly)

Heard otherwise. Sounds like mid-late August now.

The "more aptly inappropriately named 2607 ltsr" version. šŸ˜‰

I feel like that has been the trend for a while now where build numbers are one month earlier than their actual release.

2507 was the same way. Aug. 20th, 2025

The documentation page is wild. OnPrem Storefront is now Citrix Workspace (under W: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/storefront) and Cloud Storefront is now Storefront Cloud (under S https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace)

A lot of things go into software release schedule. Rather them catch something in testing and delay than release with an issue they have to patch quickly. Been there, done that. Not fun.

Did LTSR always come out every year or is this new? I thought it was every 2
n
No, the gap was definitely wider in the past. They probably realized that it was hard to adopt LTSR when you needed new features a little sooner.

I think it was 18 months before.

Nick nailed it. Cloud and Software features are changing far quicker than they did in the past. New features, and functions that can't be added to an existing LTSR requires the faster rollouts.

2507 was the first ltsr release of the new release cycle. At that time Citrix changed CRs (Current Releases) to 3 times a year instead of quarterly, and they also are making the mid year release always an ltsr. The ltsrs from 2507 on are supported for 3 years now instead of 5. 2402 is the last release on the 5 year support cycle. Previous ltsrs came out every 2-3 years, not on a specific schedule.

The latest CU just came out, still waiting on the new LTSR
n
2607 has been there since like 2, they just didn't put LTSR behind it

Oh there it is
