Nice I get that with my dell Alienware monitor on my gaming pc. It automatically installs the dell Alienware command center you uninstall it and it comes back

I assume (hope) you won't be affected by this if the
Do not include drivers with Windows Updates
group policy is enabled?

@Markus I think that's a seperate setting - this behaviour occurs with many different hardware types (e.g. Logitech mice that then prompt to install the Logi software). Drivers installed by Windows Update are seperate to that

I tried loads of stuff I think even disabling driver updates but the damm Alienware software kept getting installed for my Alienware monitor

Note to self: Never consider Alienware or LG monitors in the future.

@Aaron Parker I've also enabled
Prevent automatic download of applications associated with device metadata
and set
Specify search order for device driver source locations
to
Do not search Windows Update
. We used to get prompts for Logitech devices as well (and Canon printers, IIRC), but I'm pretty sure they stopped ever since these policies have been in place (I think the device metadata policy was the important one).
