On-Prem CVAD licensing hiccup? Just had a customer hit me because their solarwinds said they were out of Citrix licenses even though they were nowhere near that. Anyone else see this message?
So, happened on my license server too. If you check your log_vdxudlic.log do you see this message?
Time: Wed Apr 29 08:11:49 2026 Legacy License Consumption Start Time -

Director is telling me on the "License Server section: All the available licenses are in use. Exceeding the maximum number of connections triggers the license burst mode." But on the Delivery controllers section, the licensing information says operating normally and not in grace period. We have been close to the limit if you combine cloud and onprem sites, but I see nothing in citrix cloud licensing that shows the aggregate

Maybe thats the timebomb kicking in everybody at Citrix warned about? What License Version are you on?
j
Saw this on a CPL, and an NFR.

Have the same cutofftimestamp reached message. @Jeff Riechers were you able to resolve? I'm on with citrix support now and they are utterly useless. "Send an email and they will get back to me in a few days." Didn't even ask about the logs
j
At this point it looks like the only actual issue we had was Solarwinds WMI filters stopped working.
l
I can't even get citrix to tell me how to confirm if I'm really in burst mode
s
I also had yesterday a 100% use, but no real issues - today it says 0% use ...
d
same, on 100% since wednesday, but no issue so far - I think these are the old File based licenses.

I think the cutofftimestamp was a countdown timer to when legacy licenses would quit - even my dev license server has that in it, while everything else is fine. Our message of burst mode is still not determined - no impact (yet) but the interesting thing is that Director is still showing port 27000 for the license server, and not 8083. Everything else is showing LAS is activated and connected, and nothing shows legacy licenses in use. Only recommendations so far is to upgrade to 2402 CU3 Update 1. Our license server has a valid cert from our CA (for windows) but not in the apache license server, so we're going to apply ours to that as well to ensure its trusted, but our dev env is configured the same way and has no errors. Fun times.

Had some PVS servers decide to hiccup and alert every one of license issues yesterday as well. LAS is fun.
