GM everyone, I am working with a CVAD 7 2507 LTSR CU1 on‑prem site here. Currently, Site, Configuration Logging, and Monitoring all share a single SQL database. Plan to split Configuration Logging and Monitoring to separate SQL databases, leaving the Site database where it is. My steps: 1.Back up the existing Citrix SQL database. 2. Snapshot the Delivery Controllers. 3. In Studio/Web Studio, change the database locations for Configuration Logging and Monitoring following: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/2507-ltsr/technical-overview/databases.html#change-database-locations Docs mention disabling configuration logging/mandatory logging before changing the logging DB. I don’t recall ever disabling monitoring or monitoring data collection when moving the Monitoring DB in the past. Questions: Are these steps sufficient for 2507 LTSR CU1? In practice, do you also disable monitoring/data collection, or just config logging? Can this be done from the “old” Studio console, or should it be done via Web Studio now? If using Web Studio, does it need to run on a DDC, or is any management host fine as long as it connects to the site?

Hi, I've done dozens of these SQL cutovers , I've always disabled the monitoring / logging prior to cut over and rarely ran into issues

Thanks for your feedback Owen. However, i am referring to splitting the site database not moving them. The database server will not change. Are you saying i need to do disable monitoring before i split the database..? thx

That exercise I've not done before , I'd still follow the same process , you want to limit read and writes to the SQL instance , disabling those via the related powershell cmds would be advised. There's a SQL command I used to use to confirm connections were working as expected post change , I'll find and share soon

@Owen Reynolds - thanks so much. i have the command. however, i just want to know it's still supported. it might not be.
