Hi Guys, Anyone recently migrating workload from Vsphere to Nutanix AHV? We did reverse image vdisk and could boot in AHV, but we are a bit confused with all PVS situation. We are in the cloud, but have just migrated so our on prem site is still alive. We thought we could just add hosting connections in PVS but looks like things don’t work like in was with vsphere. We have both Nutanix elements and Nutanix Prism central. For what I could understand you could use one or another ( with Prism being newer, but not sure about feature parity) We would prefer to leave functionality we have atm - being able to provision and power manage devices from PVS. But if there is a proper new way to manage this we probably could accept that. But some things are not very clear. Do we need to install Nutanix plugins on PVS and Cloud connectors ? ( we installed on one PVS server hoping to see Nutanix in “create new hosting connection” to no avail. We were able to create hosting connections in Citrix Cloud and point to Nutanix Prism central. As we have 2 zones and only one prism central that looks a bit strange. So we create 2 connections to the same print central URL. Not sure how to add new catalog from PVS to AHV. Any pointers?

Me and many others are waiting for Proxmox support....So many providers are supporting from Veeam, Microsoft, Datacore, Nagios, etc.....It makes no sense that Citrix hasnt even stated anything with MCS.

Been on AHV for a few months now with no issues so far. We’ve migrated a number of servers, including PVS servers and targets, and have been recreating the SCCM build scripts so VM provisioning works properly in AHV. Hopefully we’ll migrate the rest soon. Apparently one company (I won’t name them) actively chases people who leave negative feedback about them — that’s basically the reason I wouldn’t leave a negative response. So, come to think of it, I’m forced to conclude that jacking up licence prices by a factor of x is perfectly fine. And of course I wouldn’t dream of mentioning the phone calls, the threatening emails, the last-minute pricing information, or the refusal to sell for a lower core count or a term shorter than x years. But who would do something like that? That would be a bit unethical. So if any lawyer is reading this trying to find some negativity here: this is just a dream. You are a wonderful person working for a nice company. Feel free to go and have a nice session of self-inflicted love.
