Just got an email from Citrix saying the SPA entitlement is now part of UHMC and not limited to just Windows 365. I think that's a good move since for me it's hard to justify the Platform license. Outside of the unlimited NetScaler throughput and Secure Developer Spaces, UHMC and Platform are looking pretty similar.

Platform still comes with the Google Enterprise. That isn't part of uhmc. Which makes me wonder why they are getting rid of CEB.

I think the simple answer is everyone wants Google Chrome, not some other unfamiliar browser. At least that is how it was explained to me or how I understood it. Users want Chrome. Google can lock a browser down with policies. Why recreate the wheel with another browser to maintain?

I argued I want Microsoft Edge, not Google Chrome, for enterprise, but I guess you have to start somewhere.

I hear ya. And the cost of Chrome Enterprise as being a part of CPL makes it worth it, if you are doing that. But like you, most of my organizations went with Edge over Chrome.

Edge may not be everyone's top browser choice but I forced our environment to it. You can't please everyone. Better than maintaining multiple. And gpo settings for auto signin, deny other signin, and azure backing up all browser profile data. Easy win

Same on all accounts. Every time some said “I need chrome”, I challenged them to prove it. Website worked fine in Edge and we moved on. Over two years now and there's no Chrome on the desktops.
I was surprised to learn this week Edge cannot be removed from Windows Server 2022. You asked me last week I would have said “yes,” you can remove and reinstall Edge.

Yeah that is the other thing. It's there anyway and you aren't gonna change that. I have yet to run into any issues either.
And I haven't had a ticket now in over a year about "lost website credentials"
