They mention EC2. You cannot pick m8i in Workspaces Core, only in Workspaces Core Managed Instances.

So... as @Steven Lemonier mentioned, it's scoped for 8th generation EC2 but other generations soon to follow, like 7th generation which we have some WorkSpaces migrated to. I want to stress, even when those instance families get the underlying support from EC2, we still need to work out the WorkSpaces enablement piece - not huge, but a certain amount of work to be done. As we get closer though, I'll be sure to update everyone here!

Why not use WorkSpaces with docker and code installed to interface with ECS at that point? Better performance, more cost optimized.

Need to run Hyper-v for App-V and MSIX support. and Maybe WSL2

You can use dcv or RDP, but if you're not worried about gateways then just RDP direct
